Autism Acceptance Month 2023: a free toolkit for schools

As we approach Autism Acceptance Month in April 2023, it’s important to recognise the importance of creating an inclusive environment for students with autism in our schools. It also gives us the opportunity to raise awareness, promote acceptance, and empower students with autism to reach their full potential.
To celebrate, we're sharing a free Understanding Autism toolkit, which provides a range of resources and tools to help support schools. This toolkit includes CPD certificated webinars, SENBITES (short videos), guest blogs, and further support through OLT courses such as Autism for Parents and our Autism Spectrum Disorder course.
One of the highlights of this month’s toolkit is a CPD certificated webinar on “Identifying the needs of girls with ASD”. This webinar is designed to help educators recognise the unique challenges faced by girls with autism and provide them with the support they need to thrive.
SENBITES are short and informative videos that offer bite-size learning in 10 minutes or less. These videos provide quick and easy tips on how to support students with autism in the classroom.
In addition, the toolkit includes a guest blog from the founder of SEN Resources Blog, Georgina Durrant. This blog offers valuable insights into the challenges faced by students with autism and provide practical tips on how to support their learning and development.
OLT also offer further support with the popular Autism for parents and Autism Spectrum Disorder courses. Both courses provide a deeper understanding of autism and offer practical strategies for supporting children and young people with autism.
